How do scrap and legendary characters work?

Legendary characters are a brand new addition to the game, first appearing in December 2018. They will appear at the very bottom of your Character Collection screen.

How do I acquire a legendary character?

You can unlock a legendary character once you have collected enough scrap for it.

Where can I earn scrap?

Scrap currently is only awarded through event leaderboards. (Rewarded leaderboards is also a new feature.) The first event that will award scrap began Thursday, December 6th - so the first scrap to be earned will be on Monday, December 10th.

How much scrap can I earn per event?

Amount of scrap awarded depends on your placement in your event leaderboard! Tap 'Leaderboard Rewards' at the bottom of your Event Leaderboard.

  • Each leaderboard consists of 200 players.
  • Each leaderboard has 6 tiers with every tier winning extra prize(s), however you will earn more the higher you place.

How are legendary characters different?

Other characters give a profit bonus in either speed or cash multipliers to businesses. Legendary characters give you a resource, based on time. Resources can vary (such as liquor, or cards) and so can the time. Think of them like a different version of Lahey's trunk, you can collect from them every X period, with no effort on your part!

How do I collect from a legendary character?

Just like collecting cash from a non-automated business, just tap on the icon above them in your park.

How do I upgrade a legendary character?

Once unlocked they're like any other character - listed on your Character Collection screen, and upgraded with cards (NOT scrap) and liquor.

What do I do with scrap after unlocking the legendary character?

Scrap doesn't convert over to cards. Scrap is purely for creating the character. Once unlocked your leaderboard rewards will change to cards for the legendary character.

What are the benefits of upgrading a legendary character?

Upgrading will either reduce the amount of time before you collect, or increase the amount of resource you can collect.
